An Interview with Smedes York.
Smedes York, current owner of York Properties in Raleigh, remembers the close business relationship his father, Willie York, had with Mr. Finley. Willie would build many buildings and developments and then sell them to Mr. Finley, resulting in a business relationship that was symbiotic. Willie and Mr. Finley were also good friends and the Yorks were regularly invited to parties and outings with Mr. Finley. Here, Smedes York recollects about the business relationship, and the friendship, that his father and Mr. Finley shared.
